RST started out in 1988 under the name Rhino, making gloves, and did not launch its first collection of sports leathers and textiles until 2001. The racing connection is more than marketing: RST has been Official Safety Partner to the Isle of Man TT since 2015, and it built its own factory to produce race suits and leather garments.

Its own range now covers jackets, suits, boots, gloves, trousers, base layers and impact protectors, and it added airbag garments in 2020, developed with In&motion.
