Editorial Policy

Prices are collected automatically from UK retailers’ listings and product feeds. We re-check prices every day, and every product page shows the date its prices were last verified. Prices can still change between our checks, so the price on the retailer’s own page is always the one that counts.

Products and offers are ranked by price, lowest first. Retailers cannot pay for placement or a better position, and the commissions described below never affect ranking. If a listing appears above another, it is because it is cheaper, not because anyone paid for the spot.

Two kinds of price figures appear on MotoMiser, and we treat them differently:

• Our own price history. We record prices every day and keep the history. Any statement about a price drop or a lowest price is computed only from prices MotoMiser has itself observed and recorded.
• Retailer RRPs. Where a crossed-out RRP and a discount percentage appear, that recommended price is the retailer’s own stated figure. We display it as supplied and label it as an RRP. We do not verify retailers’ RRPs and we never present them as our own price history.

Every product featured in a weekly deals post is selected against the same fixed rules, named here so you always know what a MotoMiser deal actually means:

• Minimum 10% reduction from the highest price we have recorded for that product.
• The price must hold across our last two recorded checks, not just a single day, so a one-day pricing blip cannot qualify.
• Based only on prices we have tracked ourselves. Retailer RRPs are never used to claim a deal.
• Implausible drops are excluded and held for manual review rather than published automatically. A drop over 70% is more often a pricing error than a genuine deal.

These rules do not change casually. Every weekly post that cites the MotoMiser Weekly Deal Criteria is using exactly this definition, computed automatically at the time each post was generated.

Certification details such as CE markings are shown only as stated by the listing or by a verified source. Where a listing says only “CE certified” without a level, that is exactly what we display. We never infer or upgrade a protection level that the source did not state.

We do our best to keep safety information accurate and up to date, but certification details come from listings and manufacturers and can change, so always confirm them with the retailer or manufacturer before relying on them. See the Terms of Service for the fuller safety disclaimer.
