A motorcycle jacket combines abrasion resistance with impact armour at the shoulders, elbows and often the back. Leather offers excellent abrasion resistance, while modern textile jackets add waterproofing, ventilation and removable thermal liners. Look for CE-rated armour and a jacket certified to EN 17092.
